LAYER BUN



A:
180 gm flour
125 ml warm water
1 tsp dry yeast
½ tsp sugar

B:
60 gm flour
1 tsp milk powder
1 tsp shortening
3 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp instant dry yeast

Fillings:
1 cup jam (your choice)
50 gm butter melted
60 gm castor sugar

Garnishing:
Mixed dried fruits

Method:

1)Dissolve sugar of ingredient A in
warm water, add in dried yeast,
ferment for 5 minutes till some bubbles
form on the surface.

2) Sieve flour & place in a basin, pour in
no:1, knead to a smooth dough, cover
with a piece of damp cloth & let it stand
for 1 hour.

3) Gradually add in ingredient B to the
leavened dough, knead till soft & color lighten

4) Divide the dough into 4 portions, roll each
of them thin rectangular shape & cut into halves,
brush each piece with filling, pile up layers, pierce
small holes on the upper layer with a toothpick
Spread mixed dried fruits into it.

5) Transfer to a steamer & leave for
30 minutes to proof, steam over high
heat for 25-30 minutes.

Cut into small pieces to serve.
