This recipe was given to me by my dance teacher ( from traditional bhramin family )
when i was in Kerala, India i use to enjoy her mother's cooking, thanks to my teacher Radha
Ingredients:
To pre soked over night:
( A )
1 cup raw rice
2 tbsp urud dal
1 tbsp thoor dal
1 tsp bengal gram
1 tbsp moon dal
( can chose any dal you want )
dried chilly 10 nos.
Things to add in & grind:
( can add according to taste )
( B )
onion
small pic ginger ( optional )
curry leaves ( if more nice smell )
1/4 tsp cummin
asafotaeda pic
( if powder add last before making dasai )
salt
To add in last:
1 hand full drumstick leaves
1 tbsp bengal gram ( pre soaked )
oil for cooking ( gingerly oil is better choice )
Method:
1. Grind A & B into batter
2. Add in drumstick leaves, bengal gram, asafotaeda powder
( if powder ) mix well
3.Add a little oil on the sides and center. When crisp, carefully turn the dosa
over and allow the other side to cook a little.
4.Serve with any chutney,sambar or plain
