APPLE HALWA

Ingredients:

1 ½ tbsp ghee
2 ¼ cups grated apples
½ cup grated mava (khoya)
¾ cup milk
3 ½ tbso sugar
¼ cup chopped walnuts (akhrot)

Method:
 
Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the apples and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 7 minutes, while stirring continuously.

Add the mava, mix well and cook on a medium flame for another 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.
Add the milk and simmer for 7 to 8 minutes, while stirring twice in between.

Add the sugar and walnuts, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 7 to 8 minutes or till all the moisture evaporates, while stirring continuously. Keep aside to cool.

Add the vanilla essence and mix well.

Cool slightly and serve.
