COCA COLA CHICKEN WINGS




12 Chicken wings
5 cloves of garlic minced
4 slices of ginger
1 can Coca-cola

Oil for cooking
Spring onion chopped

SEASONING:

1tbsp Chinese cooking wine
4tbsp light soy sauce
1tbsp dark soy sauce
½ tsp brown sugar
Pepper to taste

METHOD:

Cut chicken wings into two parts & remove
the pointy wing ends.
 
Heat some oil in pan, sauté ginger, garlic until fragrant.

Add in chicken wings & continue to cook until lightly brown.

Pour in the seasoning and coke & bring to a boil.

Continue to cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until sauce
thickens and chicken wings are caramelized.

Garnish with spring onions.

Coca Cola Chicken Wings are ready to serve.

FRIED BRINJAL WITH MINCED MEAT & SAUCE



300 gm brinjals

( Rinse brinjal & cut into sections.

Fry them in hot oil till cooked, dish it out.

Arrange brinjals on a serving plate)


INGREDIENTS:

1 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp dried shrimps chopped
1 tbsp garlic chopped
50 gm minced meat
5 shelled prawns diced
5 bird’s eye chilly chopped
1 tbsp red chilly chopped

SAUCE:

1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp light soya sauce
1 tbsp fish sauce
½ tsp sugar
1 calamansi lime juice (limau kasturi)

METHOD:

Heat up both oil & sauté garlic & dried
shrimps until fragrant.

Add in minced meat & prawns, stir-fry well.

Add in both chilies, fry well & dish it out.

Bring all sauce ingredients to boil.

Spoon over the fried/cooked  brinjals.

Sprinkle the mix meat mixture as topping.

Garnish with spring onions & serve hot.

 NOTE:

Can steam brinjals if you don't wish to fry them.

Spearmint May Reduce Androgens in PCOS

 When the hormonal levels upset you furth...er with weight gain and hirsutism, many experts recommend adding spearmint to your daily diet. Spearmint tea is a popular beverage in many parts of the world. It is given this medicinal herb identity in PCOS treatment.

Mint is a herb which has many health benefits. In women with hormonal imbalance spearmint may help to reduce male sex hormones, acne and insulin resistance if taken along with diet control and exercise. However, it is necessary to note that this will be an undesirable effect in males if they take spearmint tea regularly.

How to Brew it

Add in a teaspoon or two of dried leaves to your regular black or green tea.

PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE




Pineapple rings drained (can food)
Few red cherries cut into ½

240 gm butter
200 gm castor sugar
4 eggs
240 gm self-raising flour
5 tbsp pineapple juice

METHOD:

Arrange pineapple rings into a lined &
well greased 9’’ round baking pan.

Arrange cherries in the center of each
pineapple rings, keep aside.

Put butter & sugar in a mixing bowl &
cream till light.

Add egg one at a time, beating well
after each addition.

Fold in the floor little by little.

Mix in pineapple syrup till well-combine.

Pour cake mixture on top of pineapple
rings & spread evenly.

Bake in pre-heated oven at 180°C for
about 45 minutes till golden brown & cooked.

Remove , leave to cool before inverting it into a
serving plate to show the pineapple rings on top.

APPLE HALWA

Ingredients:

1 ½ tbsp ghee
2 ¼ cups grated apples
½ cup grated mava (khoya)
¾ cup milk
3 ½ tbso sugar
¼ cup chopped walnuts (akhrot)

Method:
 
Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the apples and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 7 minutes, while stirring continuously.

Add the mava, mix well and cook on a medium flame for another 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.
Add the milk and simmer for 7 to 8 minutes, while stirring twice in between.

Add the sugar and walnuts, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 7 to 8 minutes or till all the moisture evaporates, while stirring continuously. Keep aside to cool.

Add the vanilla essence and mix well.

Cool slightly and serve.
